Before you join.
What to expect.
You take the exam in your device’s browser. Your teacher provides the class code and your name so you can join.
How do I join?
Open the address or scan the QR code your teacher shows. On the same network as your teacher, type the class code and tap your name.
Do I install an app?
The exam opens in a browser, with nothing to install on your device. A phone, tablet, Chromebook or lab computer can be used.
Do I need an account or password?
Joining needs no account, password or email address. You use the class code and your name.
Which name should I tap?
Tap the name your teacher gave you.
Can I go back to a question?
You see one question at a time. With free movement, open Questions to choose any question and use Come back to this to mark one for later. Your answers remain changeable until you hand in.
With forward only, each answer is final as you go.
What happens when time runs out?
Your attempt pauses for the teacher to resolve. They can add time or end it.
What if my device stops working?
If a device stops working, the student moves to another one in the room and taps their name again. The exam comes back at the same question, with any typed answer still there. If the first device is still connected, the teacher confirms the move.
Can my teacher see when I leave the exam page?
The teacher’s board flags every departure from the exam page. That includes hiding the page, moving focus to another window or leaving full screen.
How do I hand in?
With free movement, choose Check and hand in when you are ready. Your answers remain changeable until you choose Hand in.
